The job of a title tag

A title tag has two jobs: tell the search engine what the page is about, and tell the searcher why this result is worth their click. Most titles only do the first.

A pattern that works

Lead with the topic in the words people search, then add a specific reason to click: a number, a timeframe or a concrete outcome. Keep it under about sixty characters so it does not get cut off.

Audit your top pages first
